Revolving door and spa: this is what it’s like to live in a hotel-style home In this house, everyday life feels like a five-star hotel, with rest, leisure and well-being areas spread over three floors. 15 Jun 2026 min de leitura There Are Houses with a Pool. There Are Houses with a Gym. Then There’s This Villa in Cascais. There are houses with a pool. There are houses with a gym. And then there is this villa in Cascais, which seems to have decided to fit everything you associate with a five-star resort onto a single plot, complete with “minimalist design” and “premium materials”. What stands out, however, is the way each floor has been conceived as a separate living “module”. In this edition of idealista/news’ original homes feature, we step inside with you—yes, through an actual revolving door—to discover what life is like in a house currently for sale on idealista for €4.5 million, where the spa, health club and cinema are included in the floor plan as naturally as any other room in the house. Contents A hotel-style entrance Interior spaces: the home’s social areas Bedrooms, suites and a Rolls-Royce-inspired starry ceiling Master suite with dual views Basement level: cellar or private club? Outdoor space: garden, barbecue and infinity pool A hotel-style entrance The first sign that this house is not “just another property” appears immediately upon arrival: instead of an ordinary front door, you are welcomed by a revolving entrance door, typically found in hotels or luxury office buildings. Once through this “portal”, solid wood flooring stretches across a generous living area, where a feature wall finished in microcement adds texture and character to the space. Large floor-to-ceiling windows draw your gaze directly towards the infinity-edge swimming pool, visually extending the living room into the garden beyond. Everything has been designed to create a seamless connection between indoors and outdoors. Interior spaces: the home’s social areas Still on the entrance floor, the social area unfolds in interesting ways. There is a glazed tea room, featuring the same flooring as the main living space, which functions almost like an aquarium overlooking the garden: the perfect setting for quieter conversations, reading, or simply watching the rain fall without getting wet. Next to it, a lounge suspended above the pool creates the effect of a liveable balcony, where the living and dining areas meet somewhere between indoors and outdoors. The dining room connects directly to the kitchen through two concealed sliding doors, allowing the spaces to be opened up or closed off depending on the occasion. The kitchen, finished entirely in crisp white with a central island and lacquered cabinetry, opens onto an east-facing terrace designed for outdoor breakfasts bathed in the soft morning light. This floor also includes a guest bathroom and a bedroom/home office with direct access to the garden. Bedrooms, suites and a Rolls-Royce-inspired starry ceiling The upper floor feels almost like a separate experience. A metal-framed staircase runs alongside a large glass wall, allowing abundant natural light to flood the space. Here you will find two bedrooms and two suites, all with access to balconies and fitted wardrobes. Two of the bedrooms share a bathroom with a high east-facing window—a detail that provides natural light in the shower while maintaining privacy. But it is in the children’s suite that the house reveals its more playful side: a long wall lined with built-in storage, themed wallpaper and a starry ceiling inspired by the Rolls-Royce style, where tiny lights recreate the appearance of the night sky found in luxury vehicles. It is one of those details that is difficult to forget once you have seen the photographs. Master suite with dual views The master suite combines the best of both worlds. Facing east, the bed is positioned directly in front of a large window with access to a terrace, allowing residents to wake up to the morning sunlight streaming in. It is the residential version of the hotel experience known as “wake up with a view”. In the suite’s sitting area, microcement walls with unconventional shapes frame a large west-facing window overlooking the swimming pool. In other words, sunrise to start the day and sunset to end it. A generous walk-in wardrobe and a spacious bathroom complete the suite, exactly as one would expect in a property of this calibre. Basement level: cellar or private club? The lower floor is where the villa stops being “just” a home and fully embraces its identity as a private wellness club. It begins with a spacious games and entertainment room, a cinema room equipped with oversized sofas—the kind you can literally sink into—and a wine cellar designed for storing wines properly. There are also two storage rooms, an antechamber and the garage. From there, you enter the “health club” area: a fully equipped gym featuring top-of-the-range machines, a massage room, changing facilities, a jacuzzi, an ice bath and a hyperbaric oxygen chamber, used for treatments based on breathing oxygen under controlled pressure. All of this comes before reaching the wet area, which includes: Sauna; Turkish bath; Heated indoor swimming pool with a Jet Swim system, allowing users to swim against the current. The pool also features a motorised retractable cover, enabling the space to be used in different configurations. Outdoor space: garden, barbecue and infinity pool Outside, the garden has been designed to entertain both children and adults. There is a large trampoline with a safety net, perfect for burning off energy without leaving the property. A well-equipped barbecue area, complete with an outdoor kitchen, ensures summer lunches and dinners can be enjoyed without constantly moving back and forth between indoors and outdoors. The lounge areas, furnished with sofas, sun loungers and retractable awnings, create several relaxation zones spread throughout the grounds. And, of course, there is the main swimming pool: large, heated, infinity-edged and equipped with its own Jet Swim system. In other words, you can enjoy serious swimming workouts both indoors and outdoors—or simply float while gazing at the sky, if that is more your style.
