The luxury of living in Foz do Porto: "Creating a community is the goal" In an interview with Idealista/news, the CEO of Nomad Capital reveals the secrets of their luxury residential projects. 16 Jul 2025 min de leitura What is it like to live in a sustainable residential condominium, filled with Portuguese families who know each other and create bonds? This is precisely the new concept that Alexandre Mansour, CEO of Nomad Capital, wants to create at Nomad Eden, the ultra-luxury residential development rising in Foz, the “crown jewel” of Porto. “Building a community is our main priority for this project, even more important than the apartments themselves,” says the executive in an interview with idealista/news. It is mostly Portuguese families who have lived in Porto for several generations that are buying homes in Nomad Eden. “Families are looking for a stronger sense of community and experiences, not just all the amenities these apartments offer,” such as swimming pools, gardens, balconies, outdoor spaces, smart home features, and several pieces of equipment that promote energy efficiency, explains the French investor, who has been living in Portugal for 10 years. “Families are looking for a stronger sense of community and experiences.” Alexandre Mansour believes that as long as Portugal remains attractive to both local and foreign residents, more homes will be built in the country. And for families with varying budgets. “The luxury segment has immense potential. And probably, in the near future, the mid-range segment may also become interesting,” he says, admitting that he has been “considering for several years” building affordable housing. To ensure that all this potential continues to be harnessed, “the Government must continue to send the message that Portugal is a safe place, a stable country, where doing business is easy, where there are many opportunities, and where innovation is welcomed,” defends Alexandre Mansour, CEO of Nomad Capital, in this interview with idealista/news, where he talks about his real estate projects and possible future paths.
